Williston, Vermont/Chittenden – September 19, 2009: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) in Waterbury, VT selected Summit Technologies to design and deploy a Cisco Wireless LAN solution to support wireless mobility inside their new Knoxville, TN distribution facility. The chosen controller-based solution will support the use of wireless handheld devices for inventory tracking purposes.

Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc. chose Knox County, Tennessee as the home of a new manufacturing and distribution facility for the Green Mountain Coffee segment. The Company purchased a 334,000 square foot building on a 31 acre parcel of land in Knox County for approximately $10.4 million in January 2009. The new site supports the brand’s national expansion and continued growth in the single-cup business.
Summit has been designing, installing and supporting the GMCR WLAN since 2002 in their warehouse and distribution facilities.
